Greener Primary Care Wales Pilot

The Greener Primary Care Wales Framework and Award Scheme from Public Health Wales has been designed to help independent primary care contractors (general practice, community optometry, community pharmacy and primary care dental practice) to improve the environmental sustainability of their day-to-day practice

Are you concerned about climate change?
Have you ever considered the impact of healthcare on the environment?
Would you like to help us shape the future of a greener primary care for Wales?

The Primary Care Division, Public Health Wales, is looking for expressions of interest from practices wishing to become a pilot site for our Greener Primary Care Framework and Award Scheme.

By participating at this early stage your practice will be recognised as an early adopter and any progress made during the pilot phase will contribute towards the annual awarding process.
We are looking for innovative, forward thinking community pharmacies, dental practices, optometric practices and general practices across Wales to participate in a 2-3 month pilot, commencing January 2022.
