Information Governance (IG)

The submission period for 25/26 IG Toolkit ended on 31^st March.

The submission period for the Welsh IG Toolkit usually begins on 1st April. However, to enable essential platform updates and the implementation of new functionality in preparation for the forthcoming submission period, the commencement of the 2026/2027 submission period will be delayed.

It is expected that the 2026/2027 Welsh IG Toolkit will be available for completion from 17th April 2026. The Welsh IG Toolkit Team will issue a further communication to confirm when the platform becomes accessible again following the necessary updates.

Please note, the submission deadline will remain unchanged with submissions still required by 31st March 2027.

Parent & Child Relationships

For parent or child changes, pharmacy contractors will have visibility of the parent and all associated children. They should verify the accuracy of this information and, if amendments are needed, submit a request to the Welsh IG Toolkit Team (details below), who will review and implement the required changes. Pharmacy contractors must clearly specify the parent entity and any additions or removals of children in their request.
