REACCREDITATION PROCESS FOR ENHANCED SERVICES
Contractors are reminded that all members of the team providing services should ensure that they are up to date with the reaccreditation requirements:
- Safeguarding and Child Protection L2 – this is every 3 years. Need to access through the same module on generic skills on the NESA hub, complete the reaccreditation assessment and then the reaccreditation form once successfully passed.
- Reaccreditation for specific services – Need to access the reaccreditation form for each individual service (statement of competence) on the NESA hub every 3 years. There is no assessment required for reaccreditation, just self-declaration which automatically sends to NWSSP. (The exception is for flu where there is an annual re-accreditation process including assessment).
CPW have recently (July 2021) become aware that NWSSP have not been sending out reaccreditation requirements, HEIW have now taken on this process and pharmacists/ pharmacy technicians will now receive an email 3 months prior to their accreditation expiring.
However this process has not been possible for anyone whose accreditation has already expired. Contractors are therefore requested to ensure that all their team check their current accreditation status.
