On Monday 13th September Mike Hedges MS visited Lloyds Pharmacy in Morriston in his constituency to meet with the pharmacy team and Rhodri Thomas from Community Pharmacy Wales to hear about their work.   Mike Hedges MS, member of the Health and Social Care Committee in the Senedd, said
“Pharmacies do a tremendous job in our communities not just in the dispensing of medicines but also providing advice to patients and we ought to use pharmacies more to improve the health of our nation. It’s great to hear about the additional services that you can access at the community pharmacy in Morriston, including flu vaccination, which is incredibly important as we head into the busy winter period.”
Kate Taylor, Regional Manager for Lloyds Pharmacy in South Wales West said:

“We were thrilled to welcome Senedd member Mike Hedges to our Lloyds Pharmacy in Morriston – his local pharmacy no less! The visit provided the opportunity for us to outline all the services we as a pharmacy provide to patients, which is so much more than dispensing medicine, whether it’s quick advice, a more private consultation or even a flu jab.”
Rhodri Thomas from Community Pharmacy Wales said:
“Given Mike Hedges’ new role as a member of the Senedd’s Health and Social Care Committee, this was a great opportunity to discuss the hard work of our pharmacists and pharmacy staff throughout the pandemic and also the hard work they continue to do as we head into the busy winter period.”
