COVID-19 TESTING – April 2022 update

Published on: 28th July 2022 | Updated on: 28th July 2022

PCR only required if household contact of a positive case (on day 1) – am assuming that staff testing centres will continue to be available so can book test with them.

If social contact need to do LFTs if patient facing for 7 days (and redeploy if vulnerable patients and or don’t agree to testing). If not patient facing then no specific requirements.

If symptomatic and have positive LFT no need for confirmatory PCR unless in highest risk category. Guidance still states if you have cough/fever/loss of taste/smell then still need PCR though.
