Claiming For Collaborative Working Meetings

Contractors will be aware that this year’s Collaborative Working scheme allows for claiming for attendance at pharmacy collaborative meetings held by your collaborative lead and for meetings with other healthcare professionals.

Claims can be made for attendance at up to 6 meetings, with a bonus payment available for attending a minimum of 3 pharmacy collaborative meetings and 2 healthcare professional meetings. Therefore, to obtain full funding from this year’s collaborative working scheme a pharmacy must attend 3 pharmacy collaborative and 3 healthcare professional meetings or 4 pharmacy collaborative meetings and 2 healthcare professional meetings.

These claims need to be submitted by 30^th April 2026 for activity up to March 31^st.

CPW are aware that some pharmacies may have inadvertently claimed for the incorrect meeting type on the NECAF page, which may impact payments received.

For meetings attended with the pharmacy collaborative the “Cluster Lead” box should be ticked, and for meetings with other healthcare professionals the “Healthcare Professional” box should be ticked. Incorrect selection of the meeting type may lead to contractors missing out on payments. Please see the attached screenshot of the claims page

 Pharmacies are urged to check their submissions on NECAF via the previous submissions tab to ensure they have claimed meetings under the correct category. Where a contractor wishes to alter their submissions, please email prescribing.management@wales.nhs.uk with details of the changes necessary.
