**Pharmacy to Optometry referrals –  patients presenting with suspected bacterial conjunctivitis or undiagnosed dry eye, should be offered a consultation under CAS and formally referred for assessment using the “refer to optometrist” option. This will enable assessment of initial symptoms, recording of a clear intervention and an audit trail of the referral. An example of the letter generated can be found here.
