Representatives of Community Pharmacy Wales (CPW) were at the Senedd Café on Wednesday 21st September for an informal drop-in session for Assembly Members and their staff to learn more about community pharmacy.
CPW represents a network of community pharmacies across Wales which provide essential and highly valued health and social care services at the heart of local communities. Community pharmacies operate in almost every community across Wales, including in rural communities, urban deprived areas and large metropolitan centres. It is currently estimated that on an average day the network of community pharmacies across Wales will, between them, deal with more than 50,000 individual cases.
The response to the event, focusing on health on the high street, was very strong and almost a third of all Assembly Members either attended personally or sent a staff member.
