Diabetes National Public Health Campaign

Background
153,000 people have diabetes in Wales and an estimated 66,000 are living undiagnosed with the condition. Without early diagnosis and the opportunity for lifestyle change and medication where appropriate, the condition becomes more advanced and there is a high likelihood of developing serious complications.

Find the 66,000 public health campaign runs from 13th – 26th June 2011 and is being run this year as one of your contractual public health campaigns. The campaign has the full support of CPW, Diabetes UK Cymru, the Welsh Assembly Government, the BMA, the RPS, Public Health Wales and all health boards across Wales.
